Hello again! Random thought ... I still keep seeing your 'edited', yet so very freaking awesome nail pics getting reposted on people's blogs. Booooo ... makes me wonder about putting watermarks on my stuff, but I'm hella lazy and also a watermark-applying noob haha
I always wonder what goes through the mind of that re-poster. They have to save my pic, maybe edit it, and then reupload it? Why not just reblog? It’s the easier option.
I’ve thought about watermarking but i guess i don’t care as much anymore. I have enough followers who can attest to the originality of my pictures =) And in the end, any reblog/note is a compliment.
And thanks for saying i have “freaking awesome nail pics”!! Haha <3
To the anon: Sephora by OPI is quite nice, but definitely not worth the price because (in the LA, OC, etc. area) you can get the original OPI for much cheaper. Nicole by OPI is not that worth it, imo. Almost the same price as regular OPI, but the quality is only okay. Plus the Nicole bottles are quite awkward and make storage/organization a tad more difficult...
Do you recommend the OPI for Sephora line or should I just stick to regular OPI? Love your tumblr btw! :)
Hi & thanks! I’ve actually never tried the Sephora by OPI line. I get my nail polishes cheap so i don’t see the point in buying $10 polish when i get original OPI for $4-$5. I’ve never tried Nicole by OPI either. Sometimes i see colors that i like, but it’s not worth the price. I also enjoy the uniformity in my polish collection - i only have OPI, China Glaze, and maybe 10 randoms (Deborah Lippman, Orly, etc); i like how all the bottles look the same when displayed hahaha =) I say go for colors you love and get whatever’s cheaper for you. I’m sure the quality is good in any OPI line, and i hear a lot of people love Sephora by OPI. If you HAD to choose though, i’d stick with regular OPI!
Thanks again for the question & for checking out my tumblr <3
I LOVE your latest mani! So simple but super pretty. Do you mind sharing how you got/did the "splatter" effect? PS: I hope you had a wonderful trip! :)
Thanks, i love it too!! It was really easy to do. Basically i put three drops of each color on my ring finger and used a really small paintbrush (although a toothpick would work just fine) to drag lines out from the center of each drop. I think i’m going to do a tutorial on it so i’ll try to get that up in the next few days so you can see some visuals.
Also, my trip was AMAZING!! Wow, thank you for remembering!!! =)
“I will remember your small room, the feel of you, the light in the window, your records, your books, our morning coffee, our noons our nights, our bodies spilled together, sleeping, the tiny flowing currents, immediate and forever, your leg my leg, your arm my arm, your smile and the warmth of you who made me laugh again.”—Charles Bukowski (via katelizabeth) Every word.
